This year’s Vinestock music festival marked the return of this signature event for the first time since 2019 and featured an eclectic lineup of local musicians and vendors gathering at Georgian Hills Vineyards to raise money for South Georgian Bay area school music programs.

With the help of our amazing sponsors and the generosity of all guests in attendance, we raised an astounding $8300 for South Georgian Bay Music Foundation!

This year’s donation will be put towards music programs at several local secondary schools (Collingwood Collegiate Institute, Stayner Collegiate Institute, Our Lady of the Bay, & Georgian Bay Community School) as well as an incredible number of local elementary schools (St. Mary’s Catholic School, Cameron Street Public School, Connaught Public School, Notre Dame de la Huronie Catholic Elementary School, Clearview Meadows Elementary School, St. Noel Chabanel Catholic School, Worsley Elementary School, Beavercrest Community School, Beaver Valley Community School, & Georgian Bay Community School Elementary). Working alongside South Georgian Bay Music Foundation, these schools will put these funds to great use to advance music education in our local communities.

Enjoy superb, upbeat live music from our very talented past performers…along with some future performers.
(Dancing and singing along at home is encouraged).

The South Georgian Bay Music Foundation brought back the summer concert by putting the cart before the lawnchair. Joined with sponsors to put on the “world’s first-ever golf cart, physically-distanced, Bands Over the Bay,” on Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2020.
The show was held at Duntroon Highlands Golf Club featuring a live performance by The Mike McCarthy Band, and the audience was seated and separated in golf carts.

CHS Productions provided the stage and sound for The Mike McCarthy Band performance, and an anonymous “major donor” kicked in support along with Monaco and Georgian Bay Spirit Company.
They all support music, arts, and culture in our area, thank you, it was a spectacular summer evening.
The South Georgian Bay Music Foundation hosts regular events through the year, including Jazz and Blues at the Station to raise money for area school music programs. Last year the foundation donated $15,000 to high school and elementary school music programs.

The money raised at Bands Over the Bay will be put toward the same effort.
