Ruth Lee Gudaitis Music Scholarship:
Ruth (Ruthy) Gudaitis was diagnosed with Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (CJD) on January 30, 2019, and passed away on March 28, 2019.
CJD is a fatal, rapidly progressing prion disease. Currently, there is no cure or treatment to combat or at the very least, slow the disease. Ruth’s family and friends are still at a loss for words.
Ruth was known for being extremely loving, thoughtful and kind. She was a key connector and communicator in various community groups and was deeply devoted to her family, friends and the community.
To honour Ruth’s work with children and the arts, the Ruth Lee Gudaitis Music Scholarship was created in her memory within the South Georgian Bay Music Foundation.
